Cleve Doty is a Partner at PNT Law with experience across corporate counsel, litigation, and the judiciary. He previously served as General Counsel of a health technology company, leading M&A, commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and litigation, and managing an international patent portfolio. He was also appointed by Governor Greg Abbott as Judge of the 455th District Court in Austin, where he presided over civil matters including jury trials and thousands of hearings, and earlier led a regulatory enforcement team at the Texas Attorney General’s Office. Cleve has also practiced at Baker Botts LLP, clerked on the Texas Supreme Court for Justice Don R. Willett, and served in the Texas Solicitor General’s Office.
Cleve earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from Yale University. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the Eastern District of Michigan.
